Adoro desenhar almoços e jantares mas apenas depois de comer porque essa hora é sagrada. Mas quando algumas pessoas chegam mais tarde e fazem todos os outros ficar mais tempo na mesa, é a altura perfeita para desenhar. Consigo desenhar todos, sem aquela pressa, não vão eles pagar e sair... O almoço foi em Alcochete, no calmíssimo Páteo Alcochetano, onde se comem uns belos bifes e um naco na pedra fantástico por um preço bastante acessível.
I love to sketch during lunch and dinners but only after my meal, which is kind of sacred to me. But when some of the guests arrive a bit late, others tend to stay longer at the table and that's the perfect time to sketch. I can sketch with no rush because no one is going to pay and leave the restaurant... This lunch was at Páteo Alcochetano in Alcochete, Portugal, a nice and quiet place where we can eat a really good and affordable steak.
Semanas depois, um jantar inesperado na casa da aniversariante do desenho anterior. Adoro jantares combinados em cima do joelho, são sempre os melhores, onde corre tudo bem, excepto claro a abertura da terceira garrafa de vinho... O gargalo partiu-se e toca a filtrar o vinho para uma taça com recurso a um pano... Bebeu-se na mesma e estava óptimo.
A few weeks later, we gathered at my friends house for a quick arranged dinner. I just love these unexpected meetings where everything goes well, except for that third wine bottle, that cracked while we were opening it. Well, a large bowl and a dishcloth to filter the wine was all we need. We drank the wine nonetheless and it was perfect.
